Luxury Vinyl Plank & Laminate Floor Cleaning in Winter Garden & Orlando

Luxury vinyl plank is everywhere in Central Florida — and it's tough to get truly clean. We can.

Starting at 60¢ / sq ft

Stain Lifters deep cleans luxury vinyl plank (LVP) and laminate floors for homes and businesses in Winter Garden, Orlando and West Orange County. We remove the haze, grime and residue that everyday mopping leaves in the textured surface, with pricing starting at 60¢ per square foot.

Why vinyl floors are harder to clean than they look

Luxury vinyl plank has become one of the most popular floors in Central Florida — in new construction, remodels and rentals alike. It’s durable and water-resistant, and it’s marketed as low-maintenance. But while vinyl is known for being durable, it can be difficult to get properly cleaned.

Most LVP has a textured, wood-grain surface. That texture traps dirt, and every mop pass leaves a little residue from the cleaner behind. After a while the floor looks dull, streaky or sticky no matter how often you mop. Laminate has the same problem, plus a wood-fiber core that can swell if too much water gets into the seams.

Our vinyl and laminate cleaning process

  1. Identify the floor. Vinyl and laminate look similar but need different amounts of moisture. We check which one you have before we start.
  2. Remove loose dirt and grit.
  3. Apply a floor-safe cleaner to break down residue and grime in the textured surface. We use an alkaline cleaner.
  4. Scrub and extract. We scrub the floor with a CRB (counter-rotating brush) machine. The dirty solution is removed, not left to dry back on the floor.
  5. Dry finish. We leave the floor clean and dry, without the film that causes haze.

Common vinyl and laminate problems we fix

  • Dull or cloudy floors that won’t shine after mopping
  • Sticky residue from store-bought cleaners
  • Dirt packed into the grain texture and bevels between planks
  • Grimy traffic lanes through kitchens and hallways

Some problems can’t be cleaned away — deep scratches, peeling wear layers, or planks that have swelled from water damage. If we see those, we’ll tell you up front. If you have a leak or flooding on your floors right now, see our 24/7 water damage service.

Straight answers

Vinyl & Laminate Floor Cleaning: common questions

Why does my luxury vinyl plank look hazy or streaky?

Haze on LVP is usually residue — from cleaning products, 'shine' sprays, or dirty mop water — building up on the surface and in the textured grain. Mopping over it just spreads it around. A professional deep clean removes the buildup so the floor looks clean again.

Can you use a steam mop on vinyl or laminate?

Most flooring manufacturers advise against steam mops on vinyl plank and laminate. Heat and moisture can weaken adhesives and seams, and laminate can swell if water gets into its core. Check your flooring warranty before using one.

Is laminate the same as luxury vinyl?

No. Laminate has a wood-fiber core with a photo layer on top, so it's sensitive to water. Luxury vinyl is plastic-based and more water-resistant. Both need a low-moisture cleaning approach, but laminate needs even more care.

How soon can I walk on the floor after cleaning?

Right away. You can walk on vinyl and laminate immediately after we clean it.
